How to combine running and recycling ?

“Goodbye cigarette butts, welcome second life”, it’s the slogan for the race organized by the association “Wecircular”. The first edition of the butt hunt take place in LLN the 8 May 2019, during the Welcome Spring. The goal of this event is the promotion of the protection of the nature and the cleaning of the city. For that, the organisators propose a race of one hour during witch the participants can pick up the cigarette butts. “The participants of the race in team and totally free win free drinks tickets.”

We circular is a start-up who recycles butts cigarette. They give a second life (like goblets, etc). They have a partnership with ECOLO J, a KAP ecological end with the Welcome Spring festival.

Why this action takes place in LLN? “Because there are many people and an important ecological movement by the students, who will leave the city clean.” The organisators hope that the next generation will do beter than they.

Wecircular communicates by the social media, like the Facebook page of the association and the page of the festival.

They will organize other races and actions like that in other cities like Ostende or Brussel. It’s not a one-shot so.
